Sydney, Australia - Airport 20/20, the leading supplier of airport information solutions in Australia, announced today the successful upgrade of its 20/20 Aeronautical Billing System at Sydney International Airport.
Sydney International Airport is one of the world’s oldest continually operated airports and has used Airport 20/20 solutions since 2004. It is considered ‘Australia’s busiest airport’ serving close to 90,000 passengers each day through its domestic and international terminals. The airport also hosts 35 international airlines across 3 terminals – all of which utilise the airport’s resources to meet flight schedules and passenger service expectations.
“We are pleased to commission the upgraded 20/20 Billing System at Sydney International Airport on-time and on-budget,” said Nigel Farley, Airport 20/20 General Manager, “especially given the significance of the airport to the wider Australian aviation industry. Close to 50% of Australia’s domestic and international passengers on their respective airlines move through Sydney making this a very strategic project for our business.”
Integrated with the airport's Oracle E-Business Suite, the 20/20 Billing System is designed to enable Sydney International Airport to accurately track and bill airlines for a variety of flight and non-flight related resources used at the airport. Application of refined matching technology in conjunction with the new AODB improves the quality of data used by the airport to accurately invoice airlines.
“Most of the major airports in Australia are billing their aero and non-aero revenues through the 20/20 Aeronautical Billing System,” continued Farley. “These airports have an extremely powerful and flexible 20/20 Billing Engine designed to support streamlined billing and revenue management activities proven in many airport businesses around the globe. Add to this the powerful reporting capabilities available in the 20/20 suite and airports can be assured of a complete view of key revenue streams.”
The Airport 20/20 business continues to grow worldwide with recent contracts to deliver its airport information solutions to Pakistan CAA, Finavia, London City and Newark Liberty International Airports. “Airports are looking for software solutions that deliver exceptional features and real value,” concludes Farley. ”Our specialist solutions and industry expertise make our proposition extremely attractive and underpins our consistent year-on-year growth.”
